We’re excited to be launching Alton Evening Walks in June 2026 – a new walking group created for people who’d love to walk with others but find weekdays, work, or family life make daytime and weekend walks tricky.

Are you ready for 31 days of varied and delightful walks in Alton and the surrounding area? Ranging from long hauls, to brief strolls, to mindful wanders that feature art, history, philosophy and so much more, the 2026 Alton Walking Festival promises to be another stunner.

Walk Alton has been advised to encourage walkers to avoid the Binswood area for the time being, as reports come in of aggressive behaviour from a local resident.
