Bookings for Alton Walking Festival open 1 April 2026

It's no joke – bookings for this year's month-long walking festival will open on 1st April 2026.

Are you ready for 31 days of varied and delightful walks in Alton and the surrounding area? Ranging from long hauls, to brief strolls, to mindful wanders that feature art, history, philosophy and so much more, the 2026 Alton Walking Festival promises to be another stunner.

Including a special selection of children's and family-friendly walks over May half term, the programme comprises 90 walks altogether, offering different lengths, paces, timings and interests for our local and visiting walkers.
