Start point: Parking is sometimes available at the Angel Hotel GU34 3NN (located on the A32 south of Alton, what3words///arming.adjuster.increment. However, this is a busy wedding venue so the car park may be very full during the'season'. They serve a Sunday Carvery. Walking Groups are asked to check with the hotel before parking. The lane (signposted West Tisted) to the side of the hotel has very wide verges that could be used for alternative parking.

 1

Turn left out of the hotel car park (take extreme care, the A32 is extremely busy) and immediately left again on to the road leading to West Tisted (signposted). Follow the road for approximately 500m until you reach the junction with Brewers Lane, turn left up the farm track.

 2

After about 100m take the footpath that bears off to the right. Follow the path along the right-hand edge of the field until you reach a road. Cross over the road, through the blue gates, then continue straight ahead on a gravel track. When you reach the wood line on your left the footpath goes into the wood.

 3

On emerging from the wood turn right and go straight ahead, crossing over a farm track. Follow the edge of the fields, keeping the hedge line on your left. The route is way marked and does a right then left-hand turn. Continue ahead until you reach a kissing gate.

 4

Pass through kissing gate, then turn right (fence on left and hedge on right) and follow the path out through a wicket gate onto the road. Turn left and follow the road gently uphill passing farm buildings on both sides. Just after the right-hand junction with Brick Kiln Lane the road curves to the left, go through the kissing gate on your right.

 5

Follow the footpath along the edge of the fields until you join a gravel farm track, continue on this track as it zigzags towards farm buildings.

 6

Continue on the track, passing through a complex of farm buildings. Just before the farm driveway meets the road take the gate/footpath to your right, following the edge of the field keeping the hedge on you right.

 7

Exit the field, turn left on to the road and then after a short distance turn right, following the waymarker into a field. Continue straight ahead keeping the woodline on your right. At the corner of the wood turn left and follow the footpath across the open field, the path may be indistinct when crops have just been sewn, or are very high/overgrown. You are heading for the hedge line ahead of you, also a footpath junction.

 8

On reaching the hedge line/path junction turn right and walk along the edge of the field (hedge/fence line on your left) until you reach a kissing gate. Go thought the gate on to the road, cross over in to Brewers Lane (diagonally ahead to your left). Follow Brewers Lane to a T junction, turn left and retrace your steps back to the Angel Hotel.
