This is one of 3 circular walks starting and finishing at The Three Horseshoes Pub in East Worldham. The number 13 bus runs hourly from Alton to Bordon, and stops just south of the Pub. The pub has a carpark and encourages walkers to enjoy the walks and then visit for some refreshments afterwards.

 1

From the front of the Three Horseshoes pub, cross the B3004 and walk down Shelley’s Lane opposite. Take the path through the light industrial area off Shelley’s Lane on the right after about 100 yards.

 2

As you leave the industrial area, take the path on the left and follow it across the large field.

 3

Follow the path across Clays Lane, two more fields and a wood.

 4

Head for the waymark post in the middle of a huge field and turn right onto the Hangers Way.

 5

Follow the Hangers Way passing dense woodland on your left.

 6

Walk down to Clays Farm and then turn left onto a broad track.

 7

Follow broad track and turn right at the waymark.

 8

After a short walk on a track alongside a large field, bear left into another field and head for the far righthand corner.

 9

After following the headland path to Wyck lane, turn right and soon look out for this turn on your left. It is on the line of the Roman Road from Silchester to Chichester.

 10

Follow the course of the Roman Road (now a farm track) and turn right at this waymark. Then follow the well defined path across the field, go through a gate and continue ahead to East Worldham churchyard.

 11

Pass through the churchyard, leave by this entrance, turn right and soon left along Church Lane to walk down to the main B3004 road. Cross it, turn right and walk back to the pub.
