Start Point: Anstey Park main car park, entrance at either what3words ///special.polishing.piper or ///fells.trombone.wisely
 1
From the car park walk south east along the entrance drive towards Anstey Road. Cross the main road with care (there is a pedestrian crossing a few yards to the right), and walk down Anstey Mill Lane. Follow the lane under the railway bridge and when you reach Newman Lane take the track slightly to the right of straight ahead.
 2
Cross Mill Lane and walk up Waterbrook Road. Cross the bridge over the river, and immediately turn left onto a narrow footpath. Follow this along the bank of the river, the path climbs high above the river a one point.
 3
Descend and go under a road bridge. Keep straight ahead; the path emerges onto a shingle track. Swing left over a bridge and then follow the lane round to the right. Turn right through a kissing gate and follow the path along the river.
 4
The path eventually emerges onto a wide gravel track; follow it and go through the kissing gate at the end. Turn left and walk up Lower Neatham Mill Lane, passing under the railway bridge to emerge on London Road.
 5
Turn left on London Road and walk along the pavement. Cross the road when you reach the former chapel opposite and take the path to the left of it. The path leads into fields, go through the gate into the next field. Keep ahead passing a house on the left and into another field.
 6
At the far left corner of the field go through a gap in the hedge and turn left. Emerging on to the road at a corner cross Church Lane, and continue along Howard's Lane, keeping Holybourne Church on your left. Follow the lane round to the left and take the footpath leading off to the right.
 7
Follow the path (St Swithun's Way) westwards; it is straight and well marked. You will go past Treloar School and then reach the playing fields at Anstey Park. Walking along the edge of the playing field may be preferable to staying on the sunken lane. Go through one of the gaps in the hedge ahead and walk across the playing field back to the car park.
