Home Farm Walks

Published: 27 Mar 19

New Woodland Trust Guided Walks at Home Farm near Alton Set in a rolling landscape of farmland, woods and hedgerows, Home Farm is one of the largest native woodland creation sites in southern England. The 137ha (338.5 acres) site is a mosaic of different habitats, including open grassland, secondary woodland, conifer woodland and an area of ancient semi-natural woodland. Since the Woodland Trust purchased the land in 1990, we have planted around 67,000 trees and shrubs to create new woodland. The diversity of habitats at Home Farm attracts a wide range of wildlife as well as offering visitors a large area where they can enjoy getting close to nature. Join knowledgeable Site Manager, Phil Truluck, for a guided walk to discover more about this haven for wildlife. Dates: Friday 7th June and Friday 9th August – Booking essential at £10 per adult and £5 per child (over 10 years). Read More...

If you enjoy looking at old maps, walking in the countryside and a bit of detective work, why not join in with this important quest. The ROW network needs to be preserved for the benefit of future generations. If interested, please contact Trevor Plumbley on 01420 86955 Read More...
